Business has been booming for Papa John’s as the pizza making company announced that same-store sales are up over 33% this month following a 26% jump last month. Sales are high in urban areas especially those that have been severely hit by the pandemic. Surprisingly according to CEO Rob Lynch, the fastest growing market of them all is none other than New York City. On behalf of all New Yorkers, what in the world are we doing giving so much business to Papa John’s?

Papa John’s pizza is no match compared to any slice in New York.

New York is filled with amazing pizza places. From John’s to Joe’s to Prince Street, the pizza in The Big Apple is significantly better than anywhere else in the world and certainly better than Papa John’s. Not only is the pizza better, but these establishments are also small businesses and especially minuscule compared to Papa John’s, which is worth over $2 billion. In these tough times, what are we doing as New Yorkers by not helping these pizza parlors survive? We’re spoiled by having the world’s best pizza, so why not make sure these places stand into the tests of time? Plus, why would anyone eat Papa John’s pizza? You can get a better meal at a bowling alley than you would at Papa John’s. You don’t even have to get a slice or a pie from a top pizza joint. I’m sure any pizza that’s not a $1 slice is better than what’d you get at Papa John’s. Why would you torture your taste buds and help a major corporation, while not feeling guilty for ruining the businesses of fantastic pizza establishments?

It’s bad enough New Yorkers aren’t wearing masks on the street and voted for de Blasio. Don’t continue to be stupid by buying Papa John’s over a regular New York slice. Let’s make New York a proud place to live in once again.
